From the Classroom to the Chaplaincy
Pat J. Mann
- Bachelor of Arts in English (Minor in Speech)
- Chaplain, Good Samaritan Society
- Decades of experience in church, prison, and youth ministry
P.J. Mann is a devoted Christian educator, chaplain, and author with a passion for making the Bible accessible, practical, and spiritually enriching for everyone.
Mann’s journey in ministry is grounded in a strong educational foundation, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English and a minor in Speech. This background in communication laid the groundwork for a career dedicated to teaching and equipping others to share the Gospel.
The inspiration for Mann’s writing came from real-world experience as the education director for a church. Faced with the recurring challenge of teachers calling in sick on Sunday mornings, Mann realized the desperate need for high-quality, “no-prep” materials that would allow a substitute to step in effectively at the last minute. This led to the creation of Teacher Friendly Bible Lessons on Short Notice, a resource designed so that anyone who can read English can teach a meaningful lesson with confidence.
Beyond the classroom, She serves as a chaplain for a Good Samaritan Society care center and has spent decades ministering to diverse populations. Mann leads weekly Bible study classes for women in the county jail, as well as studies in local retirement homes,. These experiences in nursing homes and correctional facilities have deeply influenced.
P. J . Mann’s writing, ensuring that lessons are adaptable for audiences ranging from youth groups to prison outreach,.
In addition to educational resources, Mann is the author of the Let There Be Music series, a three-volume devotional collection that explores the Psalms. Moving beyond instruction, these works offer a heartfelt journey through the full spectrum of human emotion—from grief and repentance to praise and joy,.
Whether writing practical curriculum or compassionate devotionals, P.J. Mann’s mission remains the same: to equip believers with the tools they need to grow in faith and share the Word of God.
